In 1994, John Millberg (retired) and Frank Gordon departed one of the oldest law firms in Raleigh to found Millberg & Gordon. They established a small firm based on a commitment to client relationships and excellent legal work. In the years since, MGS has garnered a reputation for providing a high standard of legal representation, while remaining true to its goal of ensuring personal service for each client.

The firm became Millberg Gordon Stewart PLLC in 2001, when Bill Stewart was made a partner.  

 

Over the years, MGS has developed a base of clients, many of whom are "target defendants," including railroads, insurers, manufacturers, utilities, and construction companies. The firm's clients range from small local businesses to Fortune 250 companies.

The firm has attorneys admitted to practice law in the state and federal courts of North and South Carolina as well as Virginia.
